In a previous post, I vented about the excessive obsession to detail in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. I just discovered this article that vindicates my thoughts exactly! Actually, no, this article is even better, because it takes it one step farther, analyzing the flaws of the book from a perspective of “why” they exist at all.

I had the same troubles with the book and was nearly chased out of my office with pitchforks and torches when I suggested to the other editors that reading Stieg Larsson is like watching paint dry. It was our book club pick of the month, and so I felt honor bound to read it, but I won’t be returning for books two and three.
